We have some snake friends that are now living in our yard.
One big fattie and two smaller ones. Here's fattie:
I like em, they eat spiders and I hate spiders! The snakes are super nice, they just slither away if they see you coming. They lay in the sun, thinking they're invisible most days. Sometimes they startle me.
Saddly, I accidentally chopped one of the snakes tales off with the lawn mower. I haven't seen that one around lately, until today when I went out to take some pictures. :( He doesn't seem to mind too much.
Welcome snakes! Eat your hearts out.

Its just a season thing...
"And you can't build a house of leaves
And live like it's an evergreen
It's just a season thing
It's just this thing that seasons do"
This is not just a blog about gardening. If you're looking for instructions on the best way to prune a boxwood, or how to test the ph level of your soil you're not in the right spot. This is a blog about my love for gardening, my own personal journey to learn the art; and how growing something beautiful with your own two hands teaches your more about life than just horticulture.
Lets be honest people, I'm going to kill some plants. I'm no expert, but I truley love making things grow. I love telling stories that my grandmother or my great grandmother told me about different plants, or how to make the flower grow more beautifully. I love the feeling of dirt between my fingers and toes. I write this blog for me, my own gardening journal, but I would love to share with any who will read.
Happy growing.
